Letter from Pastor Nico
re : Safron Project - 2008, Early Feb
Greetings Susan and Frank ,
We pray you are all blessed and doing very well in . Jesus continues
to lead us and provide for us and bless us every day - In all
things. We have much to be thankful for .
A big GOD BLESS you and thank you for your work and all the people
who donated $10 or more for the geckos. What a wonderful financial
gift !!
We saw Rich and Lynette at our house yesterday and shared in
fellowship over tea and cake.
Richard mentioned to me he was in the process of 'translating a
contribution
from you'. This will be transferred this week.
The leadership group at Safron has put in a crop of maize. One of
the ladies
paid a group of workers from her own pocket to pay them to dig out
weeds from
the maize. I was personally 'impressed with her initiative'. The
church
treasurer has since refunded her. We have also purchased some wood
from your "gift"
and built a chicken run. We will soon be able to put chicken in and
the folk will be able to eat and sell the eggs. As well as breed eat
and sell the chickens.
On 9 February 2008 I will travel out to Safron with some others for
the purpose
of establishing an update. We will pray with the group and share in
fellowship
with the church that meets on the premises every Saturday. There is
quite an
established church there already. God has raised a young man and his
wife (Donny
and Charmaine) to disiciple folk in that area. This couple is a great
blessing
along with Tanaka and Mathilda.
On 9 February I have asked a lady (Her name - Sherri) in our ranks
to bring her
digital camera with to take strategic photos of the project. I will
ask her to
send these photos to you at this address. So please expect some
photos soon
after 9 February. I hope this is alright with you? Sorry we could
not have
arranged it sooner.
Otherwise we pray and hope you continue to do great and marvelous
things with
and for God's glory.
