Even A 4 Year Old Can Make A Difference

Little Tia Veltri age 4 has a heart for the children in Zimbabwe.

Whilst attending a recent fundraiser Tia stopped at the "gecko lady's" table.
She became totally absorbed in the geckos and started to ask questions.
She pondered the answers for a long time and asked even more questions. Tia's heart was touched with compassion whilst listening to the answers. Tia eventually asked mum to donate so she could receive a gecko. She then went back to the table mum was working on "serving refreshments" and immediately started telling folk that if they left a tip for her she would donate it, so people could have houses to live in and food to eat.
Tia raised $ 50 in tips which she happy gave to us to help the children.
Later, Tia took her little gecko to Brilliant star montessori school and stood in front of the class to share her heart and the gecko story.
"Kids who are not feeling well all the time make these toys so they can have medicine" she told them
"Kids just like all kids when we are sick".
Tia "gets it".
When a child this young is able to see that others are hurting, starving, dying from lack of shelter, food, medicine you know she will grow up to be a caring, loving and giving adult.
Thank you Tia for caring, your love will go a long way in this world. Each and every gecko that is taken home after a donation is given makes a difference in a child's life.
